Mark Roth discusses his record DuPage County $7.2 million medical malpractice jury verdict

I was referred to Hurley McKenna & Mertz by one of my co-workers who had hired them to represent him in a complicated medical malpractice case. My co-worker had nothing but good things to say about the firm. I visited the firm’s website to read about their work, experience, and results. I liked what I read and called them to see if they would take my case.
What I liked most about the firm is its commitment to service. They are client-focused; they treat you respectfully, and are extremely accessible. If they’re in the office, they always take your calls. If they’re in a meeting or out of the office, they return your calls right away. I also felt they were genuinely compassionate and truly cared about my case. I also sensed that the attorneys all worked very well with each other. I liked their team approach to handling my case.
Chris Hurley is a smart and intuitive trial lawyer, with the experience to make good, quick strategic judgments when necessary. He made a very powerful presentation during my trial.
Another standout quality about the firm is the research that they do. They knew more about my case and the events surrounding it than I did and they ran circles around the defense lawyers. I learned things during the trial that I didn’t know, and I was at the hospital the entire time. The firm is very thorough and organized, and demonstrated great preparation. Although the circumstances for meeting them were very unfortunate, my experience working with Hurley McKenna & Mertz as well as the outcome of the trial was entirely positive.
