Evan Smola joined Hurley McKenna & Mertz as a law clerk in August of 2006 and was hired as an associate after graduating law school.

Mr. Smola earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude and Order of the Coif.  Prior to moving to Chicago and attending DePaul, Mr. Smola earned his Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Georgia in 2005. 

Throughout law school, Mr. Smola worked as a law clerk for Hurley McKenna & Mertz and gained valuable experience in many types of injury cases, including medical malpractice, product liability, automobile collisions and premises liability.  Mr. Smola also has significant appellate experience, having clerked for The Honorable Calvin C. Campbell of the First District Appellate Court of Illinois.  Mr. Smola limits his practice to the representation of injured individuals in all types of injury cases.
